Who doesn’t love food, drinks, and girl time? The other night I had a pretty cool opportunity to check out the media preview for the Devour Indy. Set 21 floors above the circle, the views were actually pretty gorgeous! A beautiful evening to look down on the monument and enjoy some delicious eats!
Working our way around the room, we encountered all types of food from seven different featured restaurants. A couple that we already love and some new found favorites!
YUMMY YUMMY
Starting with truffle fries from Table by Market District…
IF you all haven’t been here, run… go run faster! We love this restaurant. Even thought we’ve only been a couple times, the ambience is amazing and the menu is sooooo good! I also love their “little foodies” options where they’ll make an adult dish in a child portion! This is perfect for my little who loves to try different dishes!
Next up was Bubs Burgers. Sooo so good! I haven’t been in a while, but man do I want to go now! I’m a burger girl and this little cheeseburger really hit the spot. It didn’t crumble like some do and it had a great consistency when you bit it! I’ve never been a food blogger so I don’t really know how to explain it, but man it was unbelievably good!
DEVOUR INDY
Then we tried some spicy seasoned steak from The Capital Grille. Have you been there? I haven’t. It’s in the Conrad. Everyone said I must go. I don’t get downtown often. Guess I’m going to have to get down there more! This steak had just the right kick. Can’t wait to check out their Devour Menu.
Then a new favorite that I will most likely go out of my way to get to…Indian! Tandoor & Tikka was maybe my favorite food of the evening. They served us a chicken dish, a lamb dish over rice, and a chicken wrap. I could have eaten like 3 plates of this food. I love a good spicy food and this hit the spot! And I told them I get intimidated by Indian restaurants because I never know what to order… They said they hear that a lot and made their restaurant so you can see and taste the food so you get what you like! Can’t wait to visit this one!
After that I visited the Grindstone Public House table for some pulled pork. I’m a carnivore. I love pulled pork. This pork didn’t disappoint! It was firm, and not soggy and had a great sauce on it! And the slaw on top was so crunchy and fresh! Yum!
Then of course, sushi from Ocean Prime! I’m going to be honest… We haven’t been here yet and I don’t know why… Oh wait, I do! We have kids. This seems like one of those restaurants in my head that is a little fancy and upscale and COULD be a special night for those visiting so I don’t like to take my kids to places like that when they are too young and could potentially ruin someone else special night out. So…. When I get a sitter and we can head out, we will head here. Anyways, rant over.
DELISH
Back to the food… The sushi was amazing. Sometimes rolls will fall apart too early or just look kind of halfway pulled together… Not this roll! It was a spicy tuna roll with wasabi and something else on top! SO FREAKING GOOD! I think we all went back and got a little more than two pieces. And of course I have no photo of these beautiful bites!
OTHER CITY MOMS POSTS
And you can’t forget about the White Dog from Oca by Smoking Goose. Wow. This dog was so good. I’m also a hot dog girl and I won’t apologize for it. So this one had a great bite and the bun was the perfect accent piece for it. I added spicy peppers, mustard, and sauerkraut and man woah! Yum Yum! The peppers were not joking about being spicy, but they were so good on this guy!
