Giving Tuesday is such a cool thing! I love that we think about giving instead of receiving. We usually sponsor a child or family for the holiday season because it’s super important to spread the wealth among those who have less, but also because I think it’s important to remind ourselves that people are good and sometimes good people have just fallen on hard times. For Giving Tuesday this year, I’m shopping shops that give back! Here’s a few of my favorite Gifts that Give that you can give too!
Let’s start with a beautiful Turkish robe from Parachute. Did you know that Parachute partners with the United Nation’s Nothing But Nets campaign to send life-saving malaria-prevention bed nets to those in need. For every Venice Set Bedding sold, they donate a life-saving bed net to Nothing But Nets and they make it easy for you to donate too at checkout!
Bombas! Who hasn’t heard about Bombas?! For ever pair of socks they sell, they give a pair to a homeless shelter! It’s a great give back! The more they sell, the more they donate and they’ve donated over 50 million items so far! That’s amazing! And their socks are pretty snazzy too!
Blk & Bold is a cool coffee that pledges 5% of its profits to initiatives aligned to sustaining youth programming, enhancing workforce development, and eradicating youth homelessness.
Sand Cloud towels are a super cute gift and these are perfect for the beach or the pool! They dry 3x faster than normal towels and can fit in a beach bag easily! Plus, a portion of every sale goes to a worthwhile environmental charity.
Bookshop! Did you know that you can find locally owned bookshops near you via Bookshop? Bookshop is an online bookstore with a mission to financially support local, independent bookstores. I believe they give 10% of each sale to independent bookstores.
I’ve always had a love for Uncommon Goods and this paint by number is super fun! Through their Better to Give program, they’ve connected customers with nonprofit organizations across the globe. With every purchase you make, they donate $1 to a Better to Give partner of your choice and since they started the Better to Give program in 2001, they’ve donated over $2,600,000.
Skylar candles are nature-inspired scents are hypoallergenic, safe for sensitive skin, and eco-friendly and When you purchase Skylar scents, you are treating yourself and helping others. We donate a portion of our proceeds to a different charity each month.
I had never heard of STATE BAGS when I started looking for companies that give back, but the had exactly what I’d been looking for — these fanny packs. For every State bag purchased, they support American children and families in need which includes donating fully-packed backpacks which makes them a truly awesome gifts that give pick!
Toms — Who doesn’t love them?! Comfy, and man do the new styles just get cuter and cuter? But this is a great way to purchase and give back! They offer 1/3 of their profits for grassroots good, supporting people building equity at the local level, and driving progress from the ground up.
