Recently, we found a new doughnut place to check out. If you know me at all, I could live my life only eating doughnuts, potato chips, and margaritas to wash it all down! Oh, and coffee… But seriously, I could survive off those four food groups! hahhaha.
So when new doughnut places come about, I get really excited. This one I was not the first to visit, or on their soft open invitee list, but we made our way down the street to check it out nonetheless! And let me just say… Rebellion Donuts.
It. Was. Worth. It.
I love when you walk into a restaurant or really any establishment and there’s a theme or story… something that makes sense. In this case, I wasn’t sure walking in what the story behind the name was… But after walking through the store, I got it. Start a Rebellion. Rebellion Doughnuts.
Throughout the store, there are adorable takes on starting a rebellion or being a rebel.
It totally works. Then you have the donuts.
Believe me, they work too!! Y U M M!
The whole space has a calm industrial feel. It’s very minimal, but it still has a punch. I enjoy the basic wood tables and metal and wood chairs. It’s comfortable without being too mod.
*My one complaint would be that a couple of the tables had pull out seats. These seats did not seem very practical for larger people. My husband and I are not THAT large and we felt a little like we might break those seats so sit in the actual chairs (shown below) for a more comfortable experience! hahah
The doughnuts were so good. The plain glazed, AKA The Cool One, was A M A Z I N G. Like so good I told the owner that I loved them. A good glazed doughnut seems easy, but it’s actually quite hard! So kudos to Rebellion! They’ve done it well!
The girls loved the icings and doughnuts too!
Ells got a Cherry Bomb and couldn’t stop talking about the Chocolate icing which apparently was THE BOMB.
I got an Amazing Espresso Nutella which was really good – just a little confusing on how to eat! I needed a demo, but it was still good!
I tried a Boston Crème, Ella’s Cherry Bomb, Olive’s Neopolitan, Mike’s The Cool One, and my Espresso Nuttella! They were all D E L I S H. I can’t wait to take someone here with me!
The best part was that the space is actually quite big. AND if you walk all the way to the back, you can see them prepping the donuts through a cute little window. We watched them make some Reeses doughnuts and the girls were both just in awe… It was pretty cool.
Have you been?! If you have, I’d love to know what your favorite doughnut was?!
We can’t wait to go back!
So… Feel free to Start a Rebellion and Be a Rebel.

This post was not sponsored in any way, I’m just a crazy donut gal. Side note, is it donuts or doughnuts?! Which is which?!?!
