MAGIC OF DISNEY
It was gorgeous every single day and started raining as we were on our way to the airport heading home.

It rained when we were at Hollywood Studios just a bit and it R A I N E D on our first day at Magic Kingdom.
And I mean it RAINED from 8am that morning until about 2pm that afternoon.
BUT I have to say that it was still pretty amazing. I might wish for {a little more} rainy weather from now on!
RAINY DAYS AT MAGIC KINGDOM

This ride is always a good one, especially if it’s the middle of the day when your feet need a little rest.

They have a character breakfast with Pooh and friends.
I wasn’t sure how the girls would do with these characters as I don’t think we’ve ever watched Pooh at our house, but they really enjoyed them! Especially Tigger! And the meal was just fine. The food is about the same as all the other breakfast buffets, and I was even able to spoil Olive with some morning chocolate ice cream!
Not sure if we were supposed to get into that or not, but we did.

RAIN RAIN KEEPS THE CROWDS AWAY

Peter Pan’s Flight…
And I know what you are thinking… Didn’t she just write above about trying to get on Peter Pan’s flight before breakfast?!
We did.
But the line is always so long that we wanted to try to ride it more than once… It might be one of my favorites.
Time for teacups!
There were a few things I wanted from this trip and one of the things was a photo of Olive on the Mad Hatter’s Teacups similar to the one I have of Ella!

SUCCESS!
Another whole family fave! I love this ride… It’s perfect for all ages and an easy float!
Not to mention that it’s nostalgic, quirky and there is so much to look at!
I swear that Jack Sparrow is sooooooo life-like.
I just stare and stare until it’s awkward for the others in our boat.
YO HO YO HO A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME!

If you can get a Fast Pass early enough then it’s totally worth it!
With our three Fast Passes being used and it only being 12:30, we were in great shape for the afternoon.

I feel like the Tiki Room gets a bad rap, but it’s a classic that you need to go check out!
Lines are always short, and you get to sit in an air conditioned room.
Win Win.

FRONTIERLAND

We decided to grab our food and stake out our spot for the parade while we ate.
So we got the best seats in the house, if you ask me, for the best parade in the universe.
Also a huge bonus to this location is that because the parade starts here, it ends here first too!
Which means you are the first to get back to the rides!

I could write about Magic Kingdom for weeks!
There’s so much to do there and so much to share…
They even popped on Splash Mountain too!
The parade cuts off all openings to Frontierland so you can avoid lines back that way if you are in the right spot!

Haunted Mansion is one of my husbands favorite rides. Maybe this is where he gets his love for Halloween?
While the girls weren’t to keen on this ride, we made them do it anyways, because we are good parents and know they’ll love it some day.
GHOSTS COME OUT TO SOCIALIZE

I wanted to see the Move It! Shake It! MouskeDance It! Street Party.
I had like two things on my major “to see” list for this trip – Sprinkles Cupcake Vending Machine and the Street Party.
Apparently, I’m easily amused. I had seen a preview of this on Disney Channel, probably one of those times when Disney Channel was on and no kids were home, and it looked like a really good time! EVERY ONE fought me on this one… I mean no one wanted to sit and wait for a street party.
But I made them.

Move It! Shake It! MouskeDance It! Street Party

Yes, I know we were there a bit earlier but we hadn’t gone past Peter Pan’s Flight.
We had spent most of the day in Frontierland and honestly I was ok with that!
We hadn’t beat up our feet too badly this way! But now it was time to head to see Ariel and Dumbo…
I feel like Merida’s area is somewhat hidden – and she’s so sweet you just can’t miss her!
THIS particular Merida was awesome! She was quick witted and perfect!
Olive asked her where Muldoon was and she was like “um….. very very far away…” and EVERYONE laughed!

I took this picture below of the three of them looking up at the same time… something caught their eye!
So much to look at and great music on this ride! Who doesn’t love The Little Mermaid?

With a 10 min wait time, we couldn’t resist and this is the perfect ride to do with the little ones!
We rode as a family as the last of the sun disappeared completely from the sky, then split up and Olive and I rode again while Mike and Ella headed over to the Barnstormer, another jerky, short, and fun roller coaster for the littles!
Not the super littles though, so Olive and I went to ride Dumbo again…

Not really, but we were stuck on it for about 2-3 minutes just hanging out up high in the sky!
They 100% thought I was upset, but honestly I just didn’t want to go again… I was fine with the half ride we had!
But the funny thing, a ton of people left after this show.
Apparently, they didn’t want to wait around for 15 minutes for the Happily Ever After show to start so we got to move up to a really decent spot!
We got this…

*No pictures because I couldn’t get anything that wasn’t blurry – Thanks Tigger!
Needless to say, our last two hours were JAM PACKED.
Just how we like it!

It was kind of insane. But honestly it was the best. Disney is so awesome.
It’s like you walk in and are happy.
And this time around, while we did have a few more “challenges” as a family, at the end of the day we made some pretty awesome memories!
That recap makes me tired. I am always amazed at how much we fit in and how well we do with lines and such. I think we usually play it pretty smart with doing the research ahead of time. The time of the year we go doesn’t hurt either!
Only two days left of our trip to recap and one of those is back at Magic Kingdom! I just wanted to end with I was worried about the rain leading up to our trip. We could tell for about a week before that it was going to rain at least three days we were there.
But in the end, I think this was my favorite day in the parks! We were prepared with jackets, covers and ponchos and didn’t let the rain ruin our day!
If this happens to you, try to make the most of it because even rainy days can be magical at Disney!
