On our first family trip to Disney, Be Our Guest had literally just opened and we somehow scored an invite to preview pre-ordered meals for lunch. We put in our food order in advance and just swiped our bands when we arrived. Then we headed out to the dining areas to choose a table. Sitting there, we wondered how our food would get to us because we had literally spoken to no one. Then magically it just showed up our table.
BE OUR GUEST
This was our first time to Disney with magic bands so we figured that had something to do with it, but it was still pretty crazy.

This time around, I searched every day on the My Disney App to see if there were any reservations open.
Every.
Single.
Day.
DISNEY MAGIC
We had heard that dinner was the time to go so we were hoping to try it out again. It’s two table service credits, but we heard it was so worth it and so much better at dinner so I tried with all my might to make it happen. Literally, I checked for this and Cinderella’s Royal Tables every day for like 2 months. I found a 4:50pm reservation on our last day there and while I had some other things planned for that day, we took it and rearranged a few things.
RESERVATIONS
It seemed like an early dinner, but it actually worked out quite nicely in the end.
*Tip – Keep checking for reservations (even while in the park) because people DO cancel and YOU might just get lucky!
Walking in, you feel like you are walking into a cave with a large bridge and stone everywhere. If you are waiting for a reservation, you can wait on the bridge. It’s actually a very striking little area. The stone beasts out front are also very striking. And all the stained glass is so old world… It’s all very beautifully done.
THE BEAST’S CASTLE
Inside you find three different dining rooms – The Grand Ballroom, The West Wing, and The Castle Gallery. Each room offers something different and you are encouraged to walk through them all while you are there either waiting for food or as you finish up, but my favorite is the West Wing which holds the enchanted rose.
THE WEST WING
The decor of the West Wing makes you feel like you are right in the movie when Belle is exploring the castle. The details are really beautifully done. The coloring is a bit dark, just like this part of the story making this my favorite part of Beast’s Castle and the Be Our Guest restaurant.
THE GRAND BALLROOM
The Grand Ballroom is another lovely room to enjoy your meal. It’s much brighter and the ceiling is lined with giant chandeliers and the walls with gorgeous large windows. If you watch carefully the scenes outside the windows change from rain to snow. This is where we at our first time visiting.
THE CASTLE GALLERY
We were seated in the Gallery and while it was really pretty, it was my third favorite room of the three. There’s artwork all over the walls, hence the gallery, and a beautiful rotating piece of Belle and The Beast dancing. We did enjoy eating here, but might prefer another room next time as there’s nothing extra magical in this room like the others.
Every once in a while, while sitting enjoying your meal, the Beast will actually walk through the restaurant and into the rooms for you to see him. Don’t worry you’ll get to see him on your way out, which is really cool too and doesn’t come with the lunch option! But when he comes in, applause seems to be expected which made me giggle. I assume it’s a thank you to him for allowing us to dine in his castle.
This is the one place I enjoyed a glass of wine with my meal. Both my husband and I enjoyed steak dinners with asparagus and potatoes. The food was delish, but did take a while to come out. I wish I’d taken more photos of the food, but I think we were all tired. Last day. Last Meal. So Tired. I will say though, the service was really great and the manager even check in on us because it did take so long for our meals to come out. *We even scored an extra FAST PASS as an offering to apologize for our wait* which was a great way to add that little bit of extra magic to the end of our day and trip!
TRY THE GREY STUFF
The girls loved their dessert. We all go to try three options, a macaroon, the grey stuff, and a chocolate truffle, and the girls both got a white chocolate Chip to paint with strawberry sauce. And when they say “try the grey stuff, it’s delicious” they mean it! It was delicious!

To finish up, we headed out and got to meet the Beast. This trip was clearly all about Beauty and the Beast as we met Belle, Gaston and now the Beast. It’s funny how each trip ends up being filled with more of some things than others. But meeting the Beast was really cool. He’s HUGE. And he, just like all other Disney characters, really looks just like you’d think he would. This part, and not having to wait in line for him, made this meal more worth it!
Overall, we have always enjoyed our time in Beast’s Castle. We always felt welcomed and enjoyed the eats and atmosphere. If you can snag a reservation, it’s well worth it. Make sure to check in daily to see if anything has opened up! If you can’t, just try next time. I personally don’t feel like this is a place you have to eat at every time you are there and I would imagine that’s hard to do anyways, but if you can get a reservation take it!
