We are preparing to be gone for the Holiday, but that doesn’t mean that we can’t celebrate and craft special 4th of July decor! I was reading my Good Housekeeping last week and ran across the cutest little garland and figured it would be fun to recreate since everyone loves a good Bomb Pop. So here’s how we made our own DIY Bomb Pop Garland!
So I grabbed 5 empty toilet paper rolls that we had, some paint, some string, and got going…
The one thing I didn’t have was plain Popsicle sticks, so I improvised… I had plain mini clothespins and figured they’d give the same effect.
And since this was to be an easy and not complicated project, I did it fairly quickly and wasn’t going for perfection. I just wanted the look and didn’t care if the lines between the colors were not straight. But I stared with red on one end, white in the middle, and blue on the other end.
We had all these paint colors on hand, but they can easily be picked up at walmart or hobby lobby for around $1 each.
They turned out pretty cute. I love the wavering lines because it just gives it a more real and not purchased feel. Also, I was thinking, I might remake this with the girls later this summer and we’ll make more colorful popsicles because they are a summer staple and not limited to bomb pops. But for now, the DIY bomb pop garland works for adding a little festive to our home!
But they are giving the living room a fun little feel right now and we really enjoy it!
So for basically no money, and very little time, we gave our home a little enjoyment for the 4th!
