Every year we look forward to this time of year! It’s our favorite…
And we tend to be very busy in October for good reason…here’s so many things to do! So here’s a quick roundup of some of our favorites and some that are new to us, but all things happening Halloween around Indy!
These are our top 5!
Zoo Boo — October 3rd-27th
Who doesn’t love another reason to go to the zoo?! This is such a fun event that takes you all through the zoo. Trick or treating is typically in African Journey area, but there are games found throughout, it’s always fun to ride the train as the ride is a little bit spookier than normal and there also fun spots in Pumpkin Town! You are sure to love it and we can’t wait to get to this one in the next couple weeks.
*ZooBoo runs Thursday-Sunday, 2pm-7pm.
*Open late (until 9pm) on Friday & Saturday
*Included with Zoo Admission

Conner Prairie Headless Horseman – October 10-13, 17-20, 24-27, 2019
Typically our very very favorite event of the year, not only for it’s closeness to our home, but for all the fun that can be had at Conner Prairie’s Headless Horsemen Festival! This is the best thing you can do for halloween around Indy. You can spend the entire night at Conner Prairie and not have gotten through all the awesome fun they have placed around the grounds for you! While you can’t explore Prairietown on your own, you do get to take a haunted hayride to seek out the Headless Horseman… but don’t worry, we’ve left with our heads every time! And then it’s always a good idea to check out the Apple Store on your way out too!
TCM Hotel of Spells – October 11th-31st, 11-5pm most days
Another annual Halloween Happening for us is The Children’s Museum. We thoroughly enjoy this one – you can do lights on or lights off and last year had the most amazing details that I’m sure this year will be even better with the Hotel of Spells. We love how much TCM gets into this time of year… even letting their dinos dress up and get in on the fun!
Slightly Haunted Puppet Show – October 21st & 22nd, 6:30pm
We’ve been to this a couple of times now and while I know that Peewinkles is going through a few changes, I’m glad to see this show has found a spot for the season! I love watching the puppeteers master their puppets and make you forget they are there! Plus, this one is SUPER kid-friendly and mesmerizes them! I will follow the puppets basically anywhere because I truly think this is a special art form we can share with the kids!
Boo Bash – Oct 26th 10am-1pm

via visithamiltoncounty
Located on the Central Green in Fishers, this is always a good time… With yet, another reason to break out the Halloween costumes, your kids are sure enjoy trick or treating, the digital scavenger hunt, and fun inflatables! And lots of online contests prior to submit to so don’t miss out on this great fun in Fishers!
These are others I found that sound like a good time! And another reason to wear your costume! Halloween around Indy is so jammed packed with great fun events! Check them all out!
