So a few years back I was looking to take a few photos of Ella for Valentine’s Day and was working on a Valentine Craft that would work as a prop too. I needed something that wasn’t super involved or expensive too and landed on the idea to make some cute bow and arrows. Should a valentine’s craft be frugal?! I think so!
I grabbed some felt from my craft box, because I always seem to have that on hand at my house, grabbed a few twigs from our local neighborhood park, heated up the glue gun, picked out some string I had lying around (any kind will work) and got to cutting!
This little DIY is so easy that anyone can do it.
CUPID’S BOW AND ARROW
Start by cutting out shapes from the felt. I choose to do a combo of hearts and arrows for the tops just for a little dimension. And cut out rectangles for the back of the arrow. Make sure to cut out two each for however many sticks you want to make into arrows.
Grab your hot glue gun and add glue to one piece of felt, add the stick in, and then cover up with the second copy of felt. Basically, you will make a sandwich with the stick and felt pieces.
Do this same step for the other end of the arrows with the felt rectangles.
Once the glue is dried on the rectangles, cut angles at the top of the rectangle to make it look triangular and then create fringe down the sides by just making small cuts and fluffing/bending the felt.
HAPPY VALENTINE’S DAY
For the bow, you will just tie your string/rope/ribbon/lace around each end with a little give as shown in the first photo above.
And there you go! The easiest, cutest, little valentine craft set you’ve seen!
