Typically we do birthday parties every other year, but my oldest daughter somehow felt like she didn’t get something last year when she turned seven {even though we went to Walt Disney World}. This year, I started planning something small and said she could have a sleepover with a handful of girls. She collects the elusive Yeti so that became our inspiration! We were Yeti to go and Yeti to Party!
SLEEPOVER PARTY
It took us a minute to figure out what we were going to do, but once we got started, the party became a little bigger than little! In the end, we were YETI to Party and I LOVE how this birthday celebration turned out! My favorite details were those that came from my daughter herself, like her yeti collection and her drawings.

HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A YETI?!
Our loft was decorated to feel like a mountaintop with snowy peaks on the walls which we easily made with a roll of butcher paper and a chalk marker. Then we strung snowballs and snowflake strands from the ceiling to give it more of a wintry feel. Ladidadi Party Co. came and set up the teepees for the best sleepover ever. Meagan did an awesome job of capturing the theme and helped with the feel by making all the tops of teepees look like they were draped in snow! While this is just a party recap, so I’ll be sharing much more on Ladidadi soon!

There were a few activities we had planned including cookie decorating which we did almost right away. Each girl was given three cookies to decorate and one specifically to make into their own yeti design. Cookie Cookie Joy Joy provided the cookies for each girl. Every girl felt like a professional with the icing bags and sprinkles and a video tutorial for inspiration!

To keep the “cool” feel, we visited a local outdoor ice rink where the girls skated to their heart’s content. Decorating Yeti gloves for each girl to wear was inspired by the gloves I used to wear while practicing skating growing up. After skating, we all hung out in heated igloos to warm up! When we got home, everyone enjoyed hot chocolate in copper mugs. Skating under the stars and with snowflakes is the best way to do it!
HEATED IGLOOS
In keeping with the YETI theme, I made a little campfire area because who doesn’t need to warm up after searching for an elusive yeti. Here is where the girls opened presents and hung out.

Those teepees were magical at night…

Plus, every sleepover party needs sleeping masks.

I made a lot of the things myself, but a few I outsourced because I know I just can’t do everything. All the DIYs will be shared (and linked below) soon! Honestly coming up with a few on my own because there didn’t seem to be many GIRL Yeti parties out there on the internet, was a challenge but working on creating things again was so much fun!
