I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… We are so lucky here in Indy to have the most amazing museums within such close proximity. One of those museums is the Children’s Museum and it’s seriously one of our favorites. I can’t remember a time since we’ve had kids that we haven’t had a membership. But, now through May 2nd, they have this awesome exhibit – The Pigeon & Pals, A Mo Willems Art & Play exhibit.
IT’S AMAZING
And since no one can head out there right now, how about a little Monday Museum fun!
If you are a fan of Mo Willems, {which if you aren’t, why aren’t you?!} you will absolutely love it.
Have the kids read a few books in the bus – but don’t let the pigeon drive that bus!
Test your aim by slinging hot dogs in the “arcade” area.
Do some laundry at the laundry mat…
Have fun dressing the Naked Mole Rat and then have him walk the catwalk…
INDIANAPOLIS HIDDEN GEMS
Watch animation in play by spinning these mirrors and watch Mo Willems characters come to life…
Visit the Thank You station and write thank you notes to whoever you get on the wheel…
Watch the stars with the family and Elephant & Piggie…
And of course, test your artistic skills by drawing quite a few (if not all) of the beloved Mo Willems characters and then place them on the wall for everyone to see.
Being Mo Willems fans, we had been practicing our pigeon drawing skills for a while in anticipation. He actually tends to pop up around our house randomly because Ella loves to draw him. We loved the colors and the interaction in this really well-done exhibit.
