So we have been doing a lot of “listening” to things lately with trying to stay away from TVs and tablets as much as possible. And it’s made me miss my podcast time! Like many of you, I don’t have much downtime these days as I’m still working and doing all the other things recently thrown on our plates… But there are definitely times where I could have my air pods in to listen to something for my ears only. Because of that, I decided to round up five podcasts worth checking out during quarantine while you are stuck at home doing 1000 other things!
The Daily
From the New York Times, this podcast is a great one, not only for these current days, but for any given day! Described as “how the news should sound,” this podcast is hosted by Michael Barbaro, powered by journalism from the New York Times, and twenty minutes a day, five days a week.
Fresh Air
Terri Gross is probably one of my favorite people to listen to on air. I wasn’t a huge fan at first, but she just really does some amazing interviews. And there are So. Many. To. Listen. To! You are sure to find one, two, or 50 that you will enjoy taking in!
Atomic Moms
If you are looking through a parenting podcasts, put this one at the top! With hilarious banter between Ellie and her husband and hard hitting topics, each episode is truly enjoyable!
Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend
Put out weekly, this is a podcast where Conan can hang out with the people he enjoys most. During that time, he talks to some of his favorite celebrity guests and maybe find some real friendship and friends along the way.
S-Town
A from Serial and This American Life, hosted by Brian Reed, about a man named John who despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks Brian to investigate the son of a wealthy family who’s allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder.
