My kids have lost all sense of structure since covid started. I started and did well for about three weeks with a schedule that we followed each day. Then we started having two hour delays daily and it has just kind of been lost on us. So, in a very small attempt to get some sort of something back, I’m instilling a Challenge A Day that at least my oldest will need to complete each day before being able to play on her ipad or the xbox. Here’s a list of 25 creative ways to start the day and a printable where you can write them in daily!
25 CREATIVE WAYS TO START THE DAY
BONUS
We started off with the Covid-19 Time capsule we found here!
Below you will find an easy printable that you can fill in daily. I think writing a new challenge up each day is better than showing them all at one time! Each day it’s like a little surprise! But, there’s also one that’s already filled in too in case you just want it done! You can always cover days up with post-it notes and reveal them when ready!
HANDWRITTEN LETTERS
The idea is to get them creative right out of the gate each day! There are lots of resources to find new idea and come up with new challenges! Maybe even include an incentive each week in the “notes” section… Do all these without complaint and by taking your time and on Sunday we’ll go get ice cream! Or maybe you get $10 for a new toy one week… Or maybe you can pick out new craft supplies on Amazon!
Whatever it is, make sure it’s something they’ll enjoy and might continue to increase the creativity!
