Last week I was writing a Summer Bucket list for Fishers, IN (who I’m lucky enough to be working with! YAY!) but it made me realize that I haven’t made our own Summer Bucket List yet! And with some things starting to reopen, I think it’s time… and it can now include more than just go on a walk.
SUMMER FUN
So here it is! Our official Summer Bucket List!
Go to the Drive-In
One of the most throw back things we can do these days with and keep to social distancing AND enjoy something NEW(ish).
Eat Pineapple
Doesn’t pineapple just make you feel like summer?! There’s just something about it that says SUNSHINE
Float at the Pool
What’s more summery than hanging out on a hot summer day next to a cool pool?
Draw with Sidewalk Chalk
We love being able to sit outside and get creative! This is the perfect way to do that with your kids.
Plus if it rains, you can do it all over again tomorrow*
Watch Fireworks
While this one might be a little more complicated this year, we just couldn’t leave it off the summer bucket list.
Have a Picnic
Fill up the basket with sandwiches, drinks, and snacks and head to your favorite shady spot at your favorite park for a lovely lunch.
Visit the Beach
If you can’t make it to Florida or another sea-lined state, check out lakes around you with beachy areas! Sand is sand when you are in the mood!
2019 SUMMER BUCKET LIST
Pick Fresh Fruit
Picking any fruit will do! Maybe it’s the strawberries in your backyard, or blueberries at the farm. Whatever it is, pick your own and enjoy!
Enjoy Family Bike Rides
You know I encouraged the purchasing of bikes from my quarantine purchases, but if you don’t have your own, find some rentals or borrow friends. This is a family activity you all will love!
Go on a Trip
A trip could be a day trip, a week trip, or an hour trip! Just get outta town for a bit. Give yourself a refresh by going anywhere.
It’ll refresh your soul!
Visit a State Park
There are so many amazing state parks out there that we haven’t explored that this one had to make the list! Even if we hit just one, that’ll be great!
Pick Wildflowers
I heard that we have a new park opening here with a field of wildflowers so that’s where this came from, but I have been reading about more and more fields you can go an cut your own flowers in! It’s a fun one for mom and kiddos too!
Enjoy Smores Around the Campfire
Even if the campfire is just in your backyard, make sure to have all the fixin’s to make the best smores around!
Eat Ice Cream Somewhere New
Ice cream is 100% a summer fridge staple! But change it up by trying a new place!
Go to the Zoo
Most zoos are starting to open back up now. Ours is open by booking appointments and if that’s the best way to do it, I’m all for it!
What’s on your list this year?
We know everyone’s summer bucket list might look at little different this year so I’m wondering how you all are trying to find the normal amid the chaos…
