In preparation for a week off of work in July, and have always wanted to write a book, I figured I’d try a month of writing with prompts. I’m the gal that has about 500 things on the notes on my phone that could potentially be small novels or children’s books. I really really really want to write a book for my business Adopt A Fairy. I have one in my head and it’s amazing, but I just can’t get it out how I’d like it on the page…
So practice makes perfect, right?! I plan to practice doing some writing in hopes that it’ll allow my brain to unlock in a way and clear up how I want things to flow for my book! With that being said, here are a few writing prompts for July. There’s only 8 so you don’t feel overwhelmed and can work on one or two a week for the entire month.
JULY WRITING PROMPTS
Week 1
1. Parties
2. Family Vacations
Week 2
3. Television Shows
4. Camping
Week 3
5. All About A Fictional Family
6. Weather

How you use these is completely up to you! Mix them together, write about them separately on different days, or just pick one!
I just hope that they help you get started! Writing can be fun, so don’t hold back. And since this is just a practice/play setup, feel free to get silly and extra creative.
