This is a very unsure time we are living in and honestly, I’m not sure what to think about all the typically normal things we do like shopping for groceries, getting takeout, and grabbing a coffee. But the one thing I know we need to do, if we can, is shop small and shop local to help out our small business friends. Having run my own small business for a few years and now doing my Fairy business, I know times like this can be extra stressful for small business owners and they appreciate any and all support.
So because I can’t spend a ton of money myself, I am sharing a few of my favorite shops to check out while you are stuck at home in isolation.
Mojo’s Threadz
A friend of mine has started making earrings and she makes some super fun designs. Her leather earrings are really light and go with lots of different things. I grabbed a pair of checkered flags for race day which has since been postponed, but they’ll still work in August!
She even has new adorable braided bracelets!
Emma Grace Shop
I came upon the Emma Grace Shop a couple weeks back on Facebook and immediately fell in love. The items they carry are so simplistic and clean. I love that they have shirts for girls and their moms!
And I just love their little hanging canvas’ too!
Just Clay All Day
I’ve shared about these lovely clay earrings before — they are made by my sister but my ultimate go to when I need just a dash of sass for any outfit. My favorites right now are her hairclips! Gahhh! The girls so need them!
Wild Bohemian Boutique
This is my favorite little boutique in Noblesville (my hometown) but they ship! They carry a lot of free people and lots of fun tees to mix in. I love mixing a little bit pricier pieces with affordable accents and tees when I can. Here you’ll find clothes with a really great boho and whimsy feel.
Brightly Boxes
Located in Brownsville, Brightly is a really lovely art studio where you’ll find Ms Laura and her friends who encourage the process! During these times they pivoted a little and started making these adorable boxes that are all different themes. With playdough and accessories, your kids are sure to play at these for hours! Join their newsletter for the latest ones available!
Five Sisters Candle Co.
Another friend of mine and her sisters started making candles a little while back. They smell great and they just added a two wick option! Check their website for details, but they sometimes offer local delivery! They are also available at the new Noblesville shop Persimmon Avenue. I just ordered for the first time recently… and Homme and Pomelo are definitely faves! They burn so nicely AND they come with instructions on trimming your wicks!
HOUSE SEVEN SHOPPE
A friend of mine opened a shop here in Indy this past spring. She’s got a great eye for design and styling and I’ve loved watching her grow as a business lady as well as watching her business grow! Shoppe House Seven is a must visit if you love simple, modern, and clean decor. Anissa has a great way of mixing metals, textures, patterns, and just anything!
Just a few shopping options for you to keep supporting your local places while staying home and staying safe! I’m thinking about doing this monthly! 7 faves for the month!
