Did you know July is National Ice Cream Month? I wrote a fun little article about it for The Towne Post here in Indianapolis where you can find some really fun facts! But I thought it would be fun to do a fun ice cream roundup of recipes, printables, and of course, a little decor in honor of this fun event!
We had a little fun with it the other day and made Ella & Olive their own little ice cream shoppe which we aptly named “Chill Out.” I had some fun with this and created a sign on Canva and printed it out at Walgreens. They are super easy to use for smaller sized posters. I brought it home, put some cardboard on the back and attached it to the roof of our KidKraft Playhouse.
All the Ice Cream Printables we use were FREE!
*and can be found below*
I even put a few flowers in a cone! How fun is that?!
*Make sure to line the bottom with the corner of a plastic baggie*
Then I let the kids play. We just had some fun with it.
But who doesn’t love to have a little fun with ice cream, especially in the summer when it’s National Ice Cream Month?! Well, here’s a few other fun things you can do with your kiddos to celebrate the with ice cream today, tomorrow, and through the end of the month!
However there are so many awesome printables out there that you must check out!
Here’s a great roundup of printable artwork for you ice cream lovers!
This printable is perfect for those creative kids who want to make up their own ice cream and ice cream cones!
And this one is for those adults who want to color while enjoying a scoop of their favorite flavor!
And lastly, the recipes — I would love to share my favorites, but I honestly have only made one ice cream by myself and it was using an ice cream maker and my mom mostly did it! bahhahah! But it was easy… however, Country Living has an awesome roundup of 48 recipes here!
