Isn’t it fun to put together baskets of fun for the kids? I mean, who doesn’t love perusing the aisles of Target – specifically the dollar spot?! I know I do! I also love the gathering part… It’s like a special treasure hunt and they always turn out so fun. So here’s how we created this cute little Halloween Boo Basket for the girls in 5 easy steps!
Pick a Basket
For Halloween, this can get a little more fun! You can use goodie bags, candy buckets, or even craft pumpkins if you wanted to get really creative! We found ours at Kroger.
Gather the Goods
This is a really great opportunity to support local and pick goodies that you can get from your small shops around town! I try to stick to something to eat, something to read, something to wear, and something to make. And of course, add candy.
Here’s what we included this year:
Halloween Books: Goodnight Goon & Monster Mash
Ghost Squishies, Frankenstien Mugs, Paint a Grave, and I Put a Spell on You Notepads from Dollar Tree
Window Clings, Decorate Your own Squishees and Hand Sanitizer from Target
Cookies: Rosie’s Place
Flags : Adopt A Fairy *see below for free printable*
For Olive : Casper Tshirt from Old Navy
For Ella : Disney Villains sweatshirt from Walmart
HALLOWEEN BOOK RECOMMENDATIONS
Organize the Basket
Add a little fluff to the bottom and just start adding. I always like to try to make sure you can see a little bit of each thing from the front. Add the taller items to the back and smaller towards the front.
Add a Flag
Need a printable Flag? You can find Halloween ones here at my Adopt A Fairy Shop and you can get them for FREE by using code SPOOKYLMM20 at checkout and bam- Free!

Print them out, add a stick – any kind will work, and add some cute ribbon in black, white and orange. Pipe cleaners are my favorite because they can get quirky angles and looks!
Set out for Suprise!
Set your Halloween basket out on the breakfast table for a super surprise when they wake up in the morning!
Your kids will love their tricks and treats and you will love seeing how excited they are for their special Halloween surprise!
Plan to give these things to them a little earlier than Halloween so they can get the fun in of using them and playing with the things before the big day!
