With the crazy that is 2020, and knowing that anything could change at any minute, I am working over here on keeping up with keeping Halloween magical as we have tried to do in other years! This year we are making tentative plans and backup plans which is where I came up with this idea! So, just incase Trick-or-Treating is cancelled, postponed, or very very different this year, I’ve come up with a fun plan that we can try on Halloween night should anything happen to our normal Halloween plans. That plan?! Well, we are going on a kid-friendly Ghost Hunt!
You’ll find the instructions and printable ghosts at the bottom of this post, but basically when we say we are going on a ghost hunt, that means that I’ll be placing cute little printable ghosts around and in our home for the girls to try to find! Each ghost has a letter on it that in the end will be a word scramble for the kiddos too!
13 DAYS OF HALLOWEEN

Here’s the details:
- Print out the ghosts.
- Glue popsicle sticks to the back of those you are going to stick outside so they’ll easily stick (and stay) in the ground. For those being hidden inside, you can use double sided tape to stick them to the walls or wherever their hiding spot may be.
- Hide the Ghosts!
- Have a Boo Basket to collect the ghosts and goodies.
- Set some ground rules… No Running – No Screaming – Take Your Time – Don’t Eat Candy Until The End… etc.
- And before they go have them read this fun little chant just for an extras spooky, magical touch!

BOO!
Once all the above is done, set the kiddos loose and let them at it! They’ll gather the ghosts they find by putting them in their baskets and bringing them back to find out what the saying is that the ghosts make when laying together! They’ll have so much fun on this kid-friendly ghost hunt they may ask to do it every year!

Once you are done, you could make a fun little bunting or garland with the ghosts in the correct order for your kiddos room!
