We bought a home and now it’s time to plan it all out and since we are moving the week of Christmas (we’ll talk about that another time), I feel like I have to be super prepared and ready to go as much as possible! I’m plan to have boxes marked and everything put in it’s place by the 24th! Gahhh.. But moving into a big blank box has inspired me to try to make it our own and stand out from the rest! So mood boards are coming your way! Up today, it’s a cozy living room mood board that was inspired by a house we loved and wanted and lost out on… but I still love it for it’s neutrals and small pops of mod.
I LOVE this coffee table from Ballard Designs. Do you all shop there? A bit expensive, but quality and I love their unique designs. This is the Cavala and I love it’s muted wood tone as well as the really cool look.
OUR HOME TOUR
Another thing I love from Ballard Designs is this rug. I don’t know what it is about it, but I love that it’s cheetah print, but doesn’t feel like it. It’s a very subtle pattern that I feel can go with almost everything.
Can we talk sofas? Man they are hard to decide on and man they are hard to get within a 4-6 week window, but this was one I found that seemed to fit both of those requirements (at the time). Being from Ikea, it was also a lower price point so I felt like you could maybe upgrade later if you weren’t loving it. The style is beautiful though. And don’t forget to add some fun pillows.
HOME DECOR INSPIRATION
And from the sofa, you want to jump to a comfy chair (or two). These options are from Target. I like to try to not spend too much on accent chairs, because they can be changed out. Spend more on sofas and larger pieces, and less on the chairs that way you can change your decor without having to break the bank. I love the ease that these chairs have. They’ll be in style forever. There’s a leather option as well as a linen look.
I am totally in love with this console from Target. The new house needs it. I look for it everywhere, but it’s currently sold out. I like to add items that add texture to the room and this one does that with it’s cane doors. It also has great lines so it would work as a console table, buffet, and/or tv stand.
Every room needs light! Let there be light! I added a small pop of color with these lamps from Pottery Barn which are easy and simple and can go with any room really. Then I added this magical floor lamp from West Elm. This may or may not HAVE to be in my house before we move in. Hahha. It’s got such a mod fun feel, but with neutral tones will go with everything.
