However, keeping them neat and tidy and in good working order is often the difficulty. So, here’s a few tips to tidy up to keep up with all the messes and keep your home in order!
Does the toilet not flush well anymore? Has your dishwasher broken down? If your AC not working right, in this case, you need to look at 24 Hour AC Repair and a plumber to sort your bathroom. Once your home is sorted with practicality and functionality, you can learn to take care of the aesthetics.
Principle No. 1 – Reset
If you’re in a situation where everything in the house is overflowing, it’s time to do a reset. Arranging the whole house is a big project, but definitely possible. I am not talking now about arranging all the cabinets, drawers and attics – for that there is the fourth principle. By reset I mean the following sections:
- Try arranging the living room and putting everything back in place
- Or, try arranging the bedrooms – put all the clothes back in the closet or put them in the laundry, make the beds
- Set up the children’s rooms – put everything in place
- Arrange the kitchen and dining area, washing all the dishes
- Emptying bins
- Basic cleaning – wiping surfaces, cleaning toilets, vacuuming the house, rinsing if necessary.
You may need to take a day off for it or dress up for it on some weekend. That’s fine, it’s something that should be one – time if you keep following the other principles.
Principle 2 – Do it now
Once the house is relatively tidy and organized, the real secret is to keep order and not let it accumulate again. The second principle says – do it now. For example: Did you take off your clothes before the shower? Immediately put in the laundry or fold back into the closet. Did you finish making dinner? Immediately put all the ingredients and utensils back in place and wipe the counter and the table. Did the kids finish playing any game? Help them arrange and put in place before moving on to the next game. Did you finish your coffee? Put in the dishwasher / rinse the glass. This is true of everything: put the shoes in place after you take them out, as well as the bag and the jacket. File letters and forms as soon as they reach you. Open the packages straight from the post office and arrange their contents in their place. Don’t put things off as this will stress you out further and the list of things to do will continue to grow. Organizational skills within the house may seem silly at first when you have a job and a family to look after possibly, but this principle is vital. Don’t put things off!
