It’s that time of year again… Time for resolutions and recaps. While this year seemed to go really fast as a whole, there were some months that were never-ending. 2022 was ok. It was supposed to be the year of me getting back to me, at least I think that’s what I said. And while in the beginning I felt like I was finding my groove, it quickly fell to the wayside.
2022 Recap
The year started off sort of sad with my MIL’s passing and us adjusting to life with out Nonna. The kids were troopers and we got through it but it was somewhat unexpected and things will continue to get better with time.
After that, I created a final tablescape at the Indiana Home and Garden Show and doing something that I truly love… setting the table. From there, we moved into a birthday with another fun tablescape and then in March, we celebrated St. Patrick’s day with some pretend play fun.
Next up, I had my first go at the One Room Challenge where we were able to create phase one of our beautiful outdoor space. May was used to create gardens and finish up the patio.
Over the summer we took lots of bike rides, made a few special trips like to Bloomington
and South Bend for a Notre Dame wedding.
And we fit in a last minute (literally planned on the way there) trip to the Wisconsin Dells
right before school started…
In August we sent the girls back to school
– it’s still hard to believe that we have a kid in the intermediate school and one in Kindergarten.
The next few months we spent prepping for a squishmallow birthday and Halloween.
That’s when it took a turn… hahah.
November and December are kind of a blur. I didn’t want to do much but somehow did a lot. It felt like a revolving door from October through December. But we had a great holiday season none-the-less… and we were able to enjoy family time and slowing down.
And before we sent the girls’ back to school we had a fun family day which included Top Golf.
And here we are – 2023. It’s time to start fresh and move forward. So… I’ve set some goals and things I’d like to at least get started on for the new year! I’m welcoming 2023 with open arms! This year I’m taking it easy and I’ll focus on 3 things… Me, My Family, and My House. Sounds simple right?!
*Me*
*Get back to blogging consistently
*Read 6-10 books
*Establish a good morning routine and hit my weight goals
*Publish a children’s book
*Family*
*Couple time without the kids
*Enjoying the little things… more down time
*One on One time with the girls
*One family photo each month!
*The House
* Finish House Projects
Seems like a lot, but we’ll just take it one step at a time…
and usually my resolutions and goals are just suggestions to guide me through the year!
