THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY GOLDFISH SWIM SCHOOL BUT ALL THOUGHTS ARE MY OWN.
With the new year comes new resolutions, which can sometimes include taking on new skills or honing ones you already have. But when it comes to new skills, think outside the box! Think about GIFTING new skills or practice too! The best thing for kids (and parents alike) if you are stumped, is experience options! Which is why today I share with you, 5 reasons to give the gift of swimming this year!
IT CREATES LESS CLUTTER
First, giving an experience is a great gift for many reasons, but the best part about giving an experience?! It’s got to be one less toy in the house! Toys are great, but getting out of the house to do something instead is awesome and one less thing to clean up!

IT’S A LIFELONG SKILL
Swimming isn’t just fun, it’s a skill that everyone should know how to do! It’s a safety thing! Your kids will love feeling comfortable in the water from now until they are old and gray! Plus, it could lead to a love of the sport and more than just a weekly lesson…
IT’S MORE THAN ONCE
I love that lesson are weekly! This is a gift that gives more than once! Even if you only are able to gift one month of lessons, it’s still a gift that gives over 4 weeks! Giving a weekly lesson also gives kids a routine. The consistency of a weekly routine gives kids something to look forward to. Plus, it’s something to do during the winter months! Which in turn helps keep your kids physically active too which promotes long term health! They also usually offer family swims and open swims for extra time to practice and enjoy the water!
IT BUILDS CONFIDENCE
When kids master skills and feel good about themselves, the confidence given by that cannot be matched! Goldfish Swim School celebrates any accomplishment kids achieve in the water! The number of high fives given in a class is awesome! The pool is a safe place to feel confident, secure, and proud of themselves where they can celebrate all progress they make in the water!
IT’S A WAY TO PREPARE FOR SUMMER
Did you know that swim lessons reduce the risk of drowning by 88%?! In order to be ready for summer, swimming in the winter months is the best time to learn new and practice old skills! Not only do lessons offer the opportunity to practice, but they also allow for building endurance to be strong swimmers for the summer!
