Thinking about legacy… A friends’ mother passed away recently and it really got me thinking about the legacy we leave. She was a pretty remarkable person and I only got to meet her a handful of times. She was always cheery, always so positive, always teaching the grandkids something and she was just all around pretty wonderful. But that got me thinking… whenever my time comes, what do I hope to leave behind?
I hope people remember me as…
A Kind Person
A Fun-Loving Lady who would giggle and play with the kids but also could hold her own with adults. haha.
A friend who you could call about anything
At any time
A friend who would help with whatever you need that I could help with.
A great hostess
A mom who did everything for her kids
A good wife
Someone who was smart
Someone who was able to teach good lessons, not just on the ice.
Does a legacy have to be something physical to leave your family, your kids, your friends? I mean, that’s nice… collections you had, a business you built, or money to ease their lives ahead. But there are so many things you can leave behind that mean more than something physical.
Just something to think about as we embark on this new year of 2024…
Think about your legacy…
What do you want to be to others? And what do you want to leave behind once you are gone?
